Web applications are constantly being attacked by hackers and criminals. When developers work on their web applications, it is often not easy to identify the real security requirements of the web application and how they can be implemented. Lack of understanding of the “hacker” mindset and the seemingly large number of security issues, coupled with tight deadlines typically lead to security problems.

Sandro Gauci is the leading instructor for this workshop. He has published research on various technical information security topics and his main focus is on web application security. He actively presents at security conferences such as OWASP and performs penetration tests involving web applications.

About the workshop

This workshop is a series of educational interactive training sessions where the attendees will gain hands on experience. They will be able to identify security flaws in web applications customized or built for the workshop. They will also be able to exploit those security flaws to fully understand the value of fixing those flaws.
